07 Museum field
We take advantage of the greenery in the grounds of our museum, and consider and create a sustainable relationship between people and nature with visitors and citizens of MieWe take advantage of the greenery left in our grounds so that people will realize that our museum is environmentally friendly and makes good use of such a natural environment. The “museum field,” which is located next to the building of the museum and covers all the greenery area in the grounds, consists of the woodland area and the exchange space. The woodland area is a place for relaxation, which we should cherish and use in cooperation with visitors and citizens of Mie as a site to conduct different types of fieldwork and enjoy a walk through nature while showing respect for its original landscape and vegetation. In the exchange space and the outdoor learning space, we conduct outdoor learning activities, hold a wide variety of events, and utilize a vegetable field for agricultural training as part of museum activities.
