There is some time when art works provide us unexpected visual experience. The reason is that we have numerous worlds, which are left unrecognized although we glimmpse them in a daily life.

Artists, they can willingly go through various experience in order to seek such new worlds in a visual field. As a means to do so, they have tried unique challenges which depend on their personalities and times, including going to a different world to collect materials, acrive interchanges of people and things and penetrating their inner worlds. And by keeping making art works based on these experence, they can change a visual world as they like and create a fruitful world.

This exhibition is sectioned in four parts, which are 1. In a Foreign Country, 2. Discovery and Adventure in a Daily Life, 3. Imagination / Longing and 4. To a Uncharted World. All works on display are selected from the collection of the Mie Predectural Art Museum. We hope that you will enyoy unexpected worlds beyond the artists' own experience by creating things and deeping it.
