29 October - 15 December 1996 Hours: 9:30a.m.- 5:00 p.m. This series of 4 exhibitions by the abundant collection of the State Hermitage Museum at Saint Petersberg of Russia aims at introducing to Japanese people more total view of developpement of western art history since Renaissance to modern age. The 4th and last exhibition is made up of Spanish paintings from the 16th to the 19th century and Goya's prints. Here are presented Mannerist painting as El Greco, Baroque painting like Ribera, Zurbaran, Velazquez and Murillo, and Goya, precursor of modernity. |
