1 Permanent Collection
The collection of the Mie Prefectural Art Museum consists largely of (1) art that has to do with Mie Prefecture, (2) modern and contemporary art from Japan, (3) modern and contemporary art from the West, and (4) Spanish art.
The collection currently consists of approximately five thousand pieces of art. The museum strives to share these works with the public
through rotating displays and special exhibitions of works in the collection.
Selections from the museum's permanent collection are on display throughout the year. The paintings and sculptures are rotated four times a year to feature various themes and eras.
