This is a 4th exhibition of the series "Rediscovery of 20th Century Japanese Art, following 1910s, 1920s and 1930s, which tries to grasp various aspects of Japanese Arts including both the so-called high arts and the applied arts, limited to each decade of the 20th century.
This exhibition consists of following parts;
0. Beginning of 1940s 1. Art in times of war 2. Art under occupation of Japan 3. Inquiry into the humanity 4-1. Modernism/Tradition 4-2. Handwork in 1940s 5. Introduction of 1950s
