At:Gallery Admission: Free Since 2000, Mie Prefectural Art Museum has organized exhibitions in the Gallery, featuring artists of middle standing, who have something to do with Mie Prefecture. This year, we present you recent works by Imamura TetsuTachi Katsuo (1961- ) who was born in Boston, U.S.A. and lives in Mie Prefecture. Imamura Tetsu was born in Boston in 1961. He developed his acitivities since the middle of 1980's. On his painting unidentified image is buried under thickness of semi-transparent wax. At the same time painting is accompanied by allegorical story with humour, but without clear intent. In this exhibition he constructed a maze, in which one must advance with a stoop in complete darkness, and attains either one or both of two small rooms. |
