This series of 4 exhibitions by the abundant collection of the State Hermitage Museum at Saint Petersberg of Russia aims at introducing to Japanese people more total view of developpement of western art history since Renaissance to modern age. The 3rd exhibition is made up of French paintings and prints from the 19th to the 20th century. Here are presented Neo-classicist painting as David and Ingres, Romantist painting like Delacroix, Barbizon school as Corot and Millet, Impressionist painting by Monet and Renoir, Fauvist like Matisse and Cubist Painting as Picasso. |
