Gott Meisterwerke aus der Ägyptisch-Orientalischen Sammlung des Kunsthistorischen Museums
14 February - 4 April 2004 Hours: 9:30a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Admission: Charged Kunsthistorische Museum, Wien, Austria, derives its origin from collections by emperors of Habsburg family, and one of the most prominent museums in the whole world, worthy of the ancient city Vienna. This exhibition focuses upon ancient Egyptian arts from the vast collection of Kunsthistorische Museum Wien, and has been realized under direction of Dr. Willfried Seipel, General Director of the museum and at the same time an authority in Egyptology. Exhibits amount to 141 items, which range from 4000 B.C. to 1st century, A.C. They cover from ritualistic implements used by Pharaohs to ordinary utensils, and represent various aspects of ancient Egyptian civilization. This is a first exhibition dedicated wholly to ancient civilization for the Mie Prefectural Art Museum, commemorating renewal opening of the museum. |
