Entry is permitted thirty minutes before the galleries are closed.

Closed: Mondays (Open on 2 May)

 

Admission:

 

Adults: 1000(800)yen

Students (College or senior high school): 800(600)yen

Students (Elementary or junior high school): Free

Prices in parentheses are for groups of more than 20 persons.

Persons with disability, one person accompanying them are admitted free of charge.

About

   The Exhibition, which has been widely acclaimed by cat-lovers, will finally come to Mie Prefectural Art Museum.

   This exhibition shows more than 350 pieces of art related to the beloved animal, cat, from the collection of Manekineko-Tei, an art collector who hope to stay anonymous. The exhibits not only show different aspects of cat from their mysterious character to the complex relationship with human beings, but also the various methods and techniques of art to represent this single motif. The exhibition full of cat- charms must intrigue every cat-lover from children to grown-ups. You will newly find the fascination in the world of art through this lovable animal.

   Let’s get lost in the labyrinth of cats!!

You can come and sit at the workshop table and your original Nekomimi (Cat ears).
Held daily while the exhibition is open.

Please present any belongings shaped or patterned with cats at the ticket counter, and you can get 100 yen discount from the admission fee.
 

Bring your cat’s photos


You can exhibit your photos of cat at the museum entrance hall
Photo must be printed out, and sized in less than 10×15cm
 
Accepted only during the exhibition and will not be returned after the exhibition ended.
